Antigonish Victorian Inn

Our large group used 3 of the rooms inside the beautiful Victorian House, as well as the 2 bdrm full house at the back of the property. All were clean, well maintained and comfortable. The included breakfast was lovely, filling and a great start to the rest of our travels that day. This property is a grand, historical place to stay.

Was very impressed with the cleanliness of this establishment. Very comfortable stay with reasonable pricing. Recommend trying "The Brouwnstone Antigonish" restaurant. Delicious!

The owner is a delight. We arrived just after hurricane Fiona hit and power was restored. Despite the downed trees all over the back area, the owner maintained focus in his guests. The room was lovely. Comfy bed and good water pressure. We enjoyed a great meal at a neighboring bistro, took a walk in a charming town and thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay.

The inn is beautiful and maintains its original charm. It is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included. There is an iron and ironung board in the room but no coffee maker. Coffee is available in the dining room at 8am. The bed had nice linens and was fairly comfortable. It was great value for the price and I would certainly stay again.

We stayed for one night in September on our travels on the Cabot Trail. It was right on the main road providing us with a variety of restaurants all within walking distance. The room was a nice size decorated in a victorian theme with an ensuite bathroom. For breakfast our hosts provided us with a choice (eggs, french toast, yogurt and granola) each individually prepared. There were other guests there that we were able to chat with sharing information about the area. Our hosts were pleasant although our interactions with them were limited.

We only stayed one night, which is why I can’t say much about service; we checked in late and they were accommodating to us. We stayed in the garden suite in the back and it was amazing! The bed was so comfortable and we slept very very well. If we had a reason to be in the area longer, I would definitely stay there for multiple nights. We are in our late 20s and feel this may be over seen by some younger people but it’s worth the stay. Very good breakfast that was provided as well!!

Convenient walking distance to downtown stores and services. Charming decor and very quiet. We stayed in the Erie room on the top floor = lots of stairs, very attractive decor, two beds (very firm mattresses) and its own private bathroom. The place was very clean, service was prompt and courteous. The breakfast part of the B&B was delicious and food arrived quickly. A very economical and attractive choice for accomodations in Antigonish. The only suggestions I would have, would be for the server to make sure they write down your breakfast order, because it's busy and easy to get distracted, and to perhaps have a Keurig so early risers could have access to coffee.

The Antigonish Victorian Inn is in a great location - on the main downtown strip of Antigonish. Check in and check out were really easy. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was clean. Temperature control was really good. The downsides are that you must use stairs to get to your room and if you're on the top floor, the second set of stairs is quite narrow. Also the room I had did have a private bathroom but it was located across the hallway - it wasn't a part of the room. It's also the first place I've stayed during this trip that didn't have any refrigeration available to guests. The bathroom also had some leftover garbage in the bin and some stray hairs in the corner. The shower was also tiny. All that being said, I would stay here again in a pinch. Note that I've posted this same review on the site where I booked the hotel and the property manager has responded positively.
